Was used for 1000 kms with the SP Takegawa super cam chain tensioner with no signs of wear or damage

About quality and texture - The camshaft chain tensioner push rod head from SP Takegawa is moulded from a hard rubber, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - Was used for 1000 kms with the SP Takegawa super cam chain tensioner and as you can see from the photo, there is no signs of wear or damage. Unfortunately this material push rod head is not suitable with the manual cam chain tensioner I have just installed, hopefully I can put it to use on another engine.Products to buy together - Parts within the cam chain tensioner system suffer significant wear with engine upgrades that allow for much higher RPM riding and a key product to buy together with the cam chain tensioner push rod head is the cam chain tensioner roller that SP Takegawa also sell as a repair part.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the cam chain tensioner push rod head is a simple task that took 0.2 of an hour to complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to secure the head to the push rod.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products SP Takegawa sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products and the cam chain tensioner push rod head is no different.About shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the cam chain tensioner push rod head, I chose EMS for an earlier arrival date. The part was extremely well protected while being covered in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pillows in a sturdy cardboard box.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing - Webike Japan is the first place I look to for all my motorcycle needs. From service parts to performance products and even motorcycle gear and apparel, Webike always seem to satisfy my needs in regards to availability and pricing.

Goes Together with the Cam Chain Tensioner from SP Takegawa on the Grom

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the cam chain tensioner push rod head from SP Takegawa, made from a hard rubber with a similar feel if not the same as the Honda part and the dimensions are the same as the Honda part.About the feeling of use: SP Takegawa recommend using their cam chain tensioner push rod head over the ones other brands make from a harder material. I decided to follow their advice but will take a look at the part after a few thousand kms to see how it is wearing.Products to buy together: The SP Takegawa super cam chain tensioner would also be desirable to purchase along side the cam chain tensioner push rod head to complete the upgrade to your cam chain tensioner system as recommended by SP Takegawa.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 10 minuted, removal of the tensioner push rod sealing bolt will allow the tensioner spring and tensioner push rod to fall from the engine. Swap out the tensioner push rod head and reinstall the removed parts followed by adding 4cc of oil to the tensioner rod oiler port. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a recommended performance parts from the SP Takegawa at only a small price increase over the Honda part and cheaper then the Kitaco part.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: The cam chain tensioner push rod head is a consumable part and should be inspected periodically and replaced when required to keep your engine timing from skipping a beat.

Upgrade for the Monkey 125 Camshaft Chain Tensioner System

I originally purchased the Kitaco camshaft chain tensioner push rod head to go with my Special Parts Takegawa reinforced camshaft chain tensioner arm but after reading that it is recommended by Special Parts Takegawa to use their part as other brands heads cause a large loads on the camshaft chain and could cause engine trouble. I decided to order the correct part and have it fitted next time I open up that side of the engine. As you can see from the photo attached the head on the left is the OEM Honda one with damage and the other is from Special Parts Takegawa and looks to be identical but hopefully made of a stronger material. I give the product quality 5 out of 5.

Replaced at the time of full engine OH of CUB90 ha02

Right near the Oil drain bolt is a Bolt that has a Camshaft Chain Tensioner in it.
Open this and the tip of the TensionerROD can be replaced!

Just be careful!
Even if you remove the Oil, the moment you remove the Bolt, the Oil will pop out and the Spring inside will pop out.
Recommendation to pull out the Bolt while holding it down slowly!

The TensionerROD is just hooked to the end of a rod of the genus Gold, so just replace it and you're done! It's easy (laughs)
