After 1 thousand kilometer driving, I dare to change to OHLINSRear shock absorber. Pushing up at the step completely disappeared and it became possible to run Smooth. Even if I run all day my ass does not hurt at all. If you have such dissatisfaction, you should switch RShock first before replacing the Exhaust System. Well, how to use It depends on how to ride.
About Setting.
Spring preloading is based on one person riding 65 ~ 70? In the initial setting. In HO 424, the preload is represented by how many millimeters shrinks from the free length of the spring. In the shock for the grom, 7 mm is the reference value. I weighed about 5 kilograms so we adjusted it to 5 mm weakly and set it up, but I will change it later. By the way, the preload amount is not adjusted by a sensation that is hard and soft, but it is adjusted by the state where the tire is floating and how much the swing arm sinks when the rider gets in. I'd like to adjust the preload first carefully. The adjustment method is described in detail in the instruction manual, but it is English. Damping force (damping) Adjustment is compression side (compression damping) , Extension side (rebound damping) Both can be done after installation. Initial setting is the standard. About installation.
The necessary tool is Jack. In order to install the rear wheel Tire need to be floated. If it is a Jack of a car, it is OK if you apply Jack to the lower part of Engine or footpeg part of Right Side with Side Stand as the fulcrum.

OHLINS's Owners Manual is useful in Large change and understand the function of Shock absorber well. Just being regrettable is that only English version. Carrozzeria Japan's Owners Manual also comes with an agent, but the content is different from that of OHLINS. There is no description about Setting method here.

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the rear shock absorber from Ohins, only the best materials used and surface finishes obtained as you would expect for the price. Almost exclusively made from aluminium to keep the weight down and anodised for durability. About the feeling of use: The look of this rear shock absorber fitted to the Grom is sensational and the feel from the rear end while riding is like a completely different motorcycle now, with the ability to adjust pre-load, rebound and compression the adjustments are endless. Products to buy together: The Ohlins fork insert kit would also be desirable to purchase along side their rear shock absorber but sadly is not currently available here on Webike so would need to be purchased elsewhere. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about an hour, only 2 bolts holding it in place, I removed the rear hugger, seat and rear plastics then supported the rear of the motorcyce with an A frame and strap. A little difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: An extremely expensive option for a rear shock absorber for the Grom but if you have the money to spare you will not be disappointed. Any aftermarket rear shock absorber will be better then the Honda one and the options available from YSS should be looked at if your budget is limited. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. The Ohlins S36PR1C1 will not fit Australian Model GROM's. The fine print says "New model after June 2016 can not be used". The S36PR1C1 is very well made and finished. All the adjustments have a quality feel to them. At $900 (AUD) landed it's a very expensive lesson/research. It looks like it will fit, some GROM parts people say it will fit but it will not fit the way it was intended to fit. I'm running my S36PR1C1 in an inverted position in my Australian 2016 GROM and it just fits. The compression adjuster just binds on the rear wheel huger and the upper (under seat) plastic mudguard just binds on the gas reservoir at full travel.
