Reason for purchase
The shape is the same as the OEM parts and I felt it was simple in appearance.
First of all, I thought I had to make the air entrance large.
I thought it was very easy to install.
Installation
Remove the air cleaner box so that the air duct can be removed.
The outside diameter of the air cleaner box is measured by Caliper for both the NORMAL air duct and the Large Diameter Air Duct.
After measuring, subtract the NORMAL diameter from the large diameter and halve it.
Quantity to Caliper with a value of 1/2:Set the beak of the Caliper to the edge of the NORMAL diameter hole in the air cleaner box.:Set it, and make a round of scribble lines. Or you can use masking tape or line tape of the same size to cut the edge of the hole to the same width as the value.
Spread the hole with Air Leutor, Belt Thunder, etc. to the line or around the tape. But if you cut too much, you can't modify it. Stop the hole by a small size, and cut it carefully while checking whether the large diameter Duct is the same as the NORMAL.
After that, you can use the Large caliber Duct as a quantity:Set it, replace SPTakegawa Power Filter with Normal Filter, and set the box.
Effects
The exhaust system is YOSHIMURAMachine Bent R-77S Cyclone Carbon End EXPORT SPEC Japanese Government Certification
is installed.
I could feel the torque up in the full RPM range even with only the 0-large caliber Duct.
After replacing it with a Large caliber Duct+Power Filter+NGK Iridium Plug #7
It felt like the Engine speed that produces power had moved to a slightly higher rpm range.
I was able to experience torque/power up in the entire RPM range.
Nice quality part. Installation was very easy and straightforward. I did not remove the airbox from the bike, I removed the left side plastics and used a dremel-type tool to enlarge the opening for the Takegawa part. Throttle response is a bit better. The bottleneck to airflow would still be from the pipe that is between the airbox and throttle body. This a perfect upgrade to anyone on a budget.View Detail
Installation was easy. Instructions are in Japanese, but you will fully understand what needs to be done by following the pictures. I did not remove the airbox, just get a dremel type tool and grind down the plastic per instructions. Simple as that! The Takegawa intake pipe offers a bit more airflow into the airbox. Performance gains are unknown, maybe slight more throttle response. View Detail
SP Takegawa LARGE DIAMETER AIR DUCT looks factory. Excellent finnish on moulding with no fin or fault in LARGE DIAMETER AIR DUCT. The usual high standard I have found with SP Takegawa parts. Requires removal of (body work and) Air Box to fit. Original Air Duct opening needs to be enlarged. Just remove material out to mark left after original Air Duct is removed, easy!View Detail
Takekawa's Power Filter, Hyper Ignition Coil and Au I think there is a synergistic effect of TECRacing Air Funnel and Iridium plugs I feel like I've gained 1 horsepower. 6,000 rpm to the red zone It will be cut The highest speed is up about 5 to 8 kmView Detail
It's the same time as Mukawa's Powerful and Au TEC's Funnel
Overall, I feel like the torque has improved Especially after 6,000 rpm, I feel good
It's just that the instruction manual is not for this product "Compact cool kit was in there ImpossibleView Detail
