Commitment to SWORD
SWORD is not only lightweight and strong, which are required for wheels, but also beautifully formed, using state-of-the-art 3D-CAD technology.
It is a digital planning design that combines all conflicting conditions at a high dimension, reducing weight to the utmost limit while maintaining more than sufficient strength and moderate elasticity.
In addition, 100% ALL-Billet is used in the manufacturing process, with advanced cutting technology by CNC machining centers.
Now, a new "SWORD" is making its mark on history.
Evolution Features
・The 3-spoke H-shaped cross-section design gives a strong and muscular impression.
・Despite the 3-spoke design, large ribs are provided at the spoke tips for optimum adaptive dispersion.
・Rim size will be 2.75, with a lineup of 4.00 and 4.75 rear rim sizes to choose from.
・Gyro effect is suppressed while maintaining sufficient rigidity for street use.
[remarks]
1. Spoke pattern
High "strength" and "reliability" despite its light weight.
Three different spoke patterns
While inheriting the traditional and beautiful spoke design, the use of strong forged aluminum provides more than enough rigidity for the most demanding riding conditions, while at the same time providing adequate elasticity to absorb impacts from the road.
Evolution
3-spoke H-shaped cross-section design
Reference weight F: 3.8kg / R: 6.0kg
2. rim
The rim section, machined to the thinnest possible wall thickness using forged aluminum, is surprisingly lightweight.
Weight reduction also suppresses the gyroscopic effect, which can have a significant impact on kinematic performance.
It is also rigid enough for street use and combines excellent durability.
3. hub
The wheel body is entirely machined to achieve a high level of symmetry and high-precision rotation balance.
In addition, by dividing the hub section, which is classified by bike type, into a separate structure, machining down to the inside of the wheel center became possible, resulting in an astounding weight reduction.
4. Hub attachment
Bolt-on design for each model eliminates installation difficulties.
In addition, bearings with rubber seals on both sides are used for maintenance-free operation.
In consideration of street use, the stock wheel hub seals can also be used together.
*Excluding CB-F
5. Sprocket damper
The rear wheel is equipped with a sprocket hub damper made of special resin as standard equipment, which directly transfers engine power to the rear wheel in an extremely stable manner without feeling any impact, regardless of the stage, whether on the circuit or on the street.
The sprocket mounting system uses an outside mount that allows easy adjustment of the chainline to suit a wide variety of customization needs.
Of course, the stock sprockets of the Kawasaki 1976-1980 Z750-1000 and 1981-1985 Z1000J and R series can be used without modification.
6. Air valve
A short type straight air valve is included.
With attention to detail, the surface is treated with anodized aluminum.
In addition, the material used is lightweight aluminum.
